Book Signing with Fran Hill

Warwickshire Fostering will be attending a special book signing event with author Fran Hill, whose novels Cuckoo in the Nest and its sequel Home Bird are inspired by her own experience of being fostered in Warwickshire in the 1970s. The books offer a positive and compassionate portrayal of fostering and the life‑changing impact foster care can have on young people, as well as a sympathetic depiction of social workers. Fran’s story has continued to resonate locally, including a recent reunion with one of her former social workers more than 50 years on, which was featured in the local press. Warwick Books have invited Fran to sign books on 23 May between 10am and 1pm, and Warwickshire Fostering will be joining the event from 11am to speak with visitors about fostering opportunities today and the lasting difference foster carers make to children and young people’s lives.
