Hey, we hear you Home Foster carer stories Hey, we hear you “Hey, we hear you!” Warwickshire Fostering listens to children in care Warwickshire County Council Fostering has successfully launched the ‘Hey, we hear you!’ project. This initiative was designed in collaboration with foster carers to provide a platform for connection, open dialogue, and the sharing of love, compassion, and hopes for the future with the children in their care. Building on the success of the ‘Hey Foster Carer’ project which prioritises the voices of children in care, ‘Hey, we hear you!’ empowered foster carers to connect with the children they have cared for. By sharing heartfelt messages, foster carers have been able to inspire those considering fostering to take the next step. The project showcases the supportive relationships and positive impact of foster care, encouraging community members to enquire about becoming foster carers. Developed in partnership with foster carers, ‘Hey, we hear you!’ offers a range of messages that address various aspects of the foster care experience, including: Fostering a sense of security and belonging Sharing joyful moments and preserving cherished memories Open communication and navigating challenging emotions Building confidence and self-esteem Celebrating achievements and aspirations for the future Through this initiative, Warwickshire County Council Fostering has demonstrated its commitment to supporting both foster carers and the children in their care.
